Subtitle Merger

Paste two SRT files and combine them into a single subtitle track. The tool reindexes the cue numbers, sorts every cue by start time, and lets you offset the second file if its timestamps start from zero rather than from where the first file ends. Useful for stitching together split recordings, interview clips, or chapter-based subtitle exports.

How to use it

  1. Paste your first SRT file into the left textarea.
  2. Paste the second SRT file into the right textarea.
  3. If the second file uses its own timeline starting at zero, enter the offset in milliseconds.
  4. Click Merge, then copy or download the combined file.

FAQ

What if cues from both files overlap?

The merged file keeps every cue from both inputs. Most players render overlapping cues stacked on top of each other, so you may want to manually trim or adjust the offset.

Does it work with VTT files?

The tool is built for SRT. To merge VTT files, convert each to SRT first using our VTT to SRT converter, merge them here, then convert the result back if needed.

How do I figure out the right offset?

If you stitched two videos together, the offset equals the duration of the first video in milliseconds. So a 10-minute first clip means an offset of 600000.
