1. Service Description

Tapescribe is a professional video transcription platform that converts your video and audio content into accurate transcripts, subtitles, chapters, and clips. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. Account Terms

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use our services.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or remain inactive for more than 12 months.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Tapescribe only for lawful purposes. You may not:

• Upload content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
• Use the service to process illegal, harmful, or abusive content
• Attempt to reverse engineer, exploit, or circumvent service limitations
• Share your account credentials with unauthorized users
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from our platform

4. Payment Terms

Tapescribe offers a free tier with limited usage and three paid plans:

• Creator: $24.99 per month
• Pro: $49.99 per month
• Business: $99.99 per month

Paid plans are billed monthly. All prices are in US dollars. We use Stripe to process payments securely. Charges will appear on your statement as Tapescribe.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, you retain access to your paid features until the end of your current billing period.

We offer refunds on a case by case basis within 7 days of a charge. Contact us at hello@tapescribe.com to request a refund.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of all content you upload to Tapescribe, including your original videos, audio files, and the transcripts, subtitles, and clips we generate from them. We do not claim any rights to your content.

The Tapescribe platform, including its design, code, and brand assets, is our intellectual property and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

7. Limitation of Liability

Tapescribe is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the accuracy of transcriptions or the availability of the service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on our website. Your continued use of Tapescribe after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
